The Philippine Historical Archaeology Research Grant (PHAR) is now open!

This grant intends to support students who are finishing their thesis or dissertation. The theme of their research must fall within the scope of Philippine historical archaeology, including (but not limited to) using historical documents to supplement archaeological study. Aside from this, the applicant should adhere to the following:

  • They must be a either an Associate or Regular Member of KAPI

  • They must have already enrolled as a graduate student in the school of their choice

  • They must have already submitted and defended their proposal

  • Once chosen, they must submit a a soft copy of their defended thesis or dissertation to the funder

The application must be submitted by emailing the following to KAPI Official Email:

  1. Cover letter (the body of your email)

  2. CV, 3pp. max

  3. Summary of research proposal, 5pp. max (excluding bibliography)

Deadline for submission is on 7 January 2022 at 12mn. Results will be announced on 31 January 2022.

The grant is for 10,000 PHP, to be used at the discretion of the grantee.
